SCOPE/OBJECTIVES:
Nigeria is on the march to greatness, hoping to become one of the top 20 nations of the world. However, despite the varieties of the nation’s infrastructural facilities and our indigenous raw materials, critical examination of the nation’s development reveals that the level of growth and development in the Nigeria manufacturing sector is low”.
This development has kept the nation far from taking its rightful place as fully industrialized economy, for the reasons that the available infrastructure in the country, and their optimal utilization largely depends on their states of functionality. Hence, this calls for a critical assessment and our concerted efforts to achieve the imperatives of the rapid economic transformation of the nation.
Towards this end, and the desire to proffer mechanical engineering solutions to the many questions raised on the deplorable state of the nation’s manufacturing sector forms the major thrust of the 36th International Conference of the Nigerian Institution of Mechanical Engineers slated to hold at the Monarchs Luxury Palace Hotel, KM 8, Ajase-Ipo Road, Sapati Junction, Ilorin, Kwara State, Nigeria.
